Sunnah and Shia

There are 2 Islamic divisions (sunnah and shia) the cause of this was after the prophets death when Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (Shia) and Imam Muawiyah I (Sunnah) as they broke out on who would be khalifa, what happened is a little war broke out and the sunnies ruled over Syria and the Shia ruled the rest of the Islamic land, Ali finally declared war and Muawiyah has fewer men and was weaker the war began and Amr ibn AL-Aas (Muawiya's helper) came up with a plan and was sent from Muawiyah to Ali at the same time Ali sent his helper to Muawiyah when they met each other they agreed that Ali and Muawiyah would not be the rulers and to take their rings off and say that they wont rule the land, when they went back Ali's helper said that he is not going to rule the land and took of his ring, but Amr Ibn Al-aas tricked him and said that he is going to leave his ring on and Muawiyah would rule the land which left Ali and his troops no choice, Muawiyah ruled Syria and Ali ruled the rest, but on a Friday morning (sub uh prayer) two people who were from the Kharijites planned to kill Ali and Muawiyah the one who went to kill Ali found Ali on his horse and Killed Imam Ali because he was alone but, the one who went to kill Muawiyah hit him on his back therefor he did not die. Imam Ali was not found, his horse was somewhere and he was not found (shia people believe that he was berried in Mecca, but Sunni's believe that he was berried in Syria).
