The words of Miqdad bin Amru, Radi-Allahu anhu before the battle of Badr to the prophet (SAW)

One companion pledged total support in the following words: "O Prophet of Allah, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa Salem, we are not like the followers of Moses who said ' You and your Lord can go and fight, we'll wait here.' We say go where ever your Lord is commanding you to. We swear by Allah who has sent you with the truth that we will fight on your right and on your left in your front and in your back and we will never desert you!
Miqdad bin Amru, Radi-Allahu anhu

The war took place on the seventeenth of Ramadan with 3 defense lines, the first one led by prophet Muhammad himself, The second line was Hashmites under the leadership of Ali Ibn Abu Talib, and the third line was of The hundreds of Messenger companions whose hearts were filled with the faith and readiness for sacrifice.

When the general offensive broke, hundreds of companions participated in the battle and offered sacrifices and pleased Allah. The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took a hand full of gravel and threw it at the faces of the pagans saying " May Your faces be disfigured. God, terrify their hearts and invalidated their feet. The pagans ran away, turning their faces to no one. The Muslims killed them and took them as prisoners.
This battle laid the foundation of the Islamic State and made out of the Muslims a force to be reckoned with by the dwellers of the Arabic Peninsula.
